Went here with my friends to celebrate the Babbii's birthday. We were able to reserve a table four just two hours before our reservation. When we entered the restaurant, we already had a table booth waiting for us. Although the restaurant had a dimmed light theme, there was enough lighting above each table to see our food. I'm a big fan of Korean food and everytime my friends and I get together, we always eat Korean food; however, I wasn't too impressed with the dishes. The presentation of the food was great but I think the food lacked seasoning.

How have I never reviewed Dae Bak after going here SO many times? Well, this makes for a perfect Throwback Thursday review! Most of the times I've been here was for more of a Thirsty Thursday kind of vibe, with lots of flavored soju and hearty eats. So I've never been sure if the food was good or just tasted more amazing because of the soju. However I recently went here completely sober and the food really held up. First of all, there's complimentary *Banchan*, which are small dishes with various ingredients. Typically in Korean restaurants some Banchan are spicier than others ranging from super mild to extremely sweat inducing, but the ones here are all mild enough for me to eat (and I have an allergy to spicy foods). The *Omelet Fried Rice* is very comforting and super savory, especially with spam. Yes, there's ketchup on top of the egg, by the way. So be ready for it. Always dependable is the *Fried Chicken*. It's ridiculously crispy and nice and hot. Make sure to give it a little time to cool off! And the new one I hadn't tried until this most recent time... the *Bulgogi Hot Pot*. YUM!!! They put all the ingredients into the hot pot and it cooks right in front of you. I like the ratio of meat to veggies. Pretty generous portions of both. TIP: They are still open late, even on weekdays. DATE TIP: Perfect spot for a soju date and comfort food. Way to go!

Korean spot in Santa Clara opened till 2am? It was a first for me. My and bf rarely eat Korean food. Just the basic KBBQ to be quite honest. After eating here, we still don't love korean food nor crave it. Friends raved about this place. They said it had good KFC. We ordered an abundance of food. Family style of course. I can't even tell you the dishes names! Our friend speaks Korean and we let her take charge. Party of 10 and we had too much of everything. Drinks and food. This is a great place to come drink and have a good time. Overall 7.5/10 for me. Good drinks, and ok food. Fries were my favorite thing. Pork belly kimchi fried rice and an order of spam kimchi fried rice - $17/order Bulgogi - $30 ehh Kalbi - $30 good but not for $30 and small portions. Ended up having to order 2 more portions Various Fried chicken - $17/portion Hard to describe the fried chicken here. It just was not good. Lots of batter. Poorly friend and presented. Just check my photos. Corn cheese - $14 we ordered a few but they finally only brought out one order at the end of our meal.. We had to ask to cancel the others that never came out. Decent. It's corn with cheese. Fries - $10 best thing ever when you're drinking. We ended up ordering another order because it hit the spot. Spicy rice cake? Not sure which one we got but everyone said they love this dish. It's not for me. Too much dough. And spicy af. Seafood pancake - $22 This dish was good! The sauce they serve was very complimenting. Overall this place is just alright. I think it attracts a lot of people beacuse of it's hours.

Their soju is very light and tasty to drink, they present it with liquid nitrogen which is a fun little twist to the drink
